Quiz Bowl Video Contest

Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) is calling upon high school Quiz Bowl teams throughout the state to submit a 3-5 minute video with Quiz Bowl as its central theme. Videos can be narrative, documentary, music video, etc. They may be serious or funny, but must portray Quiz Bowl in a positive light. Entries will be accepted between November 1, 2011 through March 2, 2012. The winning video will be broadcast during the finals broadcast on April 29, 2012.

What you may do:

Write your own music.
Enter up to 3 videos per school.
Get help from faculty.

What you may NOT do:

Break any federal, state, or local laws.
Harm yourself or others (this includes animals and freshmen).
Use curse words. Remember, this is PBS, not HBO.

To be eligible, you must be a member of a high school Quiz Bowl team in the state of Arkansas. Not everyone who works on or appears in the video has to play on the team, but the student submitting the film must be. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed ENTRY FORM.

There are two ways to submit your video:

1. Upload your video to a video sharing website, such as youtube or vimeo, and email a completed entry form plus a link to your video to awaller@aetn.org
2. Send a copy of your video along with the entry form to:

Submissions must be on one of the following formats: DVD, DVCAM, or Mini DV.

Note: If you use the upload method and your video is selected to air, you must provide a DVD or videotape version to AETN.
